Visiting Ringwood Manor is a perfect idea for a sunny, easy Sunday walk. It is located in the Ringwood State Park. The grounds  are beautiful and picture-perfect featuring buildings such as Blacksmiths Shop, Laundry Building and Carriage House. You will also enjoy the  view over the Ringwood Mill Pond where wildlife and birds found their sanctuary along its edges.

The Manor was built in the early nineteenth century and boasts over 50 rooms (13 bathrooms and 24 fireplaces). This historical gem can be toured! I highly recommend exploring this house with a guide to learn about its past and admire its unique interior. Beautiful furniture and artifacts fill the rooms of the Manor.

A short walk from the Manor will take you to the historic Erskine Cemetery. Also, many barbeque spots can be found along the stream and close to the baseball field. Ringwood Manor is marked on a map below and there is ample parking for the visitors. Note that when the season starts, there is a fee at the entrance. 

Rich magnetite iron deposits made the area of Ringwood  attractive to early settlers as well as  ironmasters. There’s a rich history here! You can also visit the Long Pond Ironworks State Park nearby where you can find the remains of the old furnace and stone walls.
